Praise be unto God who still trust us to carry on our calling. Time runs quickly; without realizing. 4 years have passed since we open SJIS in 2006. Not only that we may celebrate our 4th jubilee this year, but also to thank God as He has increased our student numbers. In this School Year of 2009/2010 there are more than 100 students enrolled at SJIS. This forces us to open parallel class for Pre Nursery, Nursery and K1. I am convinced that the Lord will keep on adding new students to our school. This is not only due to the effort of our teachers and the school administrators; but also of your active participation and support by functioning as an effective PR (Public relation) of our school THANK You so much!

Starting this SY of 2009/2010 we may expand our location with the new renovated building in the west side of the Pre-School building. Our Primary students can have their separated classrooms by occupying the new building together with Ms. April Lim, our Director, Mr. Roy Barus, our HRD, Marketing and Facility Officer together with some other teachers. The Board of Management (BOM) has invested to this building for the development of our school. Besides it is used as classrooms, the new building is foreseen with pantry where Primary students can hold their cooking club activity, and a science lab, where students can do some scientific experiment; as it is used as multi functions room.

I would like to express once again my gratitude to our departed teachers who had invested great contribution for the benefit of our students and good reputation to our school. We keep on mentioning their names in our prayer; and may God keep on using them to be a blessing in their new working place, as they had been a blessing to us at SJIS.

In this opportunity I'd like to welcome our new teachers and staffs: Ms. Ji Ting, Mr. Xing Yu Guang, Ms. Tanya Maysarah, Ms. Vidya Jinanti, Ms.Amelia Tan, Ms.Geraldine Robias Banuelos, Ms.Molitas Mari-Anna Lei, Mr.Donatus Dahur, Mr.Hary Hidayat, Ms.Maria Sheryl Setyawan, Ms.Ririn, Mr. Riwi Syaputra and Mr. Cecep, Mr. Roy Barus, our HRD personal, has replaced Ms. Dieke Budiman as our marketing and Operational Manager. We wish him Good Luck and are looking forward to see his full engagement to assist the staff as well as the parents in the community.

At last I would like to draw the attention of Primary 4 parents. At present, your child is in the second Foundation year. Next School Year he/she will be in the Orientation Stage of the Singaporean Curriculum which last until Grade 6. This is the time for students and parents to make a good planning for the study. Teachers and administrators are always ready to assist you in doing your orientation. Don’t be reluctant to consult us in this matter. GOD BLESS YOU .
